Our Story

MOR Construction was founded in 2011 by Matt Rowston, an experienced builder with a deep-rooted passion for construction.

Originally from the UK, Matt grew up in a family construction business, which saw him develop a deep love for the industry at an early age. After completing a bricklaying apprenticeship, Matt went on to carve out his own successful path in the industry.

From a young age, Matt knew two things – he wanted to run his own building company and he wanted to move to Australia.

In 2008, he made the move to Perth where he worked for a selection of high-quality construction companies across the city, before obtaining his builders licence.

It was then that he launched MOR Construction, dedicated to delivering high-end, bespoke homes that reflect the unique vision of each client.

In 2021, Matt met his future wife and business partner Zoe, and they set to work turning MOR Construction into the successful company it is today.

More than a decade later, MOR Construction remains a family-owned and operated business committed to crafting exceptional homes that stand the test of time.

Design

With a passion for innovative design, Chris Becvarovski began his journey in architecture by earning his Certificate in Architectural Drafting in 1985. His career started at the Buckridge Group, where he contributed to National and Statesman Homes. After honing his drafting skills for three years, Chris advanced to a senior role in the Special Projects Division at Collier Homes. There, he gained extensive expertise in designing multi-residential projects, commercial spaces, residential developments, unit complexes, grouped dwellings, as well as managing extensions and additions.

In 1995, Chris founded Risbec Design & Drafting as a dedicated architectural design office, driven by a desire to create functional and bespoke building designs tailored to each client’s needs. Armed with a deep understanding of council regulations, building functionality, and sustainable design principles, Chris and his team have delivered contemporary, client-focused architectural solutions for over two decades.

Renowned for his commitment to providing professional, rewarding architectural services, Chris has earned a reputation as one of Perth’s most distinguished architectural designers. His dedication to client satisfaction and innovative design continues to define his career.

Meet Tracey, the Director of FinanceCorp, a seasoned entrepreneur and author with over 24 years of expertise in the financial services industry. Since founding FinanceCorp in 2009, Tracey has built an award-winning team of brokers specialising in personal, commercial, and residential lending, offering tailored financial solutions across Australia.

Tracey’s leadership is defined by her mentorship approach, fostering the growth of her team while ensuring clients receive comprehensive financial advice that prioritises their well-being. Her professionalism and insights, shared through her book Smart Money, inspire others to achieve long-term financial success.

A seasoned investor who bought her first property at 19, Tracey also brings experience from roles at AGC Finance, GE, and Coca-Cola. Her passion for excellence extends beyond finance, reflecting her dedication both on and off the court as a former state-level basketball player.
